Ms. Pooner's Homework, Deadlines, Do Now & Notebook Contents: 12/19/08 ~ 1/12/09 (Subject to change)

Due Friday 12/19/08
  1. Spelling Packet #17
  2. Spelling & Roots Quiz
  3. Persuasive Essay
    • 3rd/5th: Entire essay needs to be written
    • 6th/7th: Paragraphs 1-4 need to be written
  4. Postcard Request (optional)
    • If you would like to receive a postcard from Ms. Pooner while she is in Texas, and if you haven't already given her your home address, please email her @: Ms.Pooner415@gmail.com
Due Sunday 1/4/09

ACADEMIC (Optional)

  1. Catch up on all missing assignments/ projects
  2. Read and finish at least one entire leisure reading book
  3. Replenish all school supplies
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (Optional, but strongly advised)
  1. Sleep for at least eight full hours every night
  2. Spend quality time with family & friends
  3. Exercise for at least 30 minutes/ day, at least 3 days/ week
  4. Help out your family with chores
  5. Tell/ show at least five people you care about how much you appreciate them
  6. Stay in touch with your classmates by posting appropriate comments/questions (preferably comments that many people can respond to) on our class blog

    • This will be your absolute last chance to make up any quizzes before Ms. Pooner closes her gradebook for the 3rd Report Card Term/ Fall Semester

    ex. 15 12 17 the hypotenuse is always the biggest number. I hope this help you.

    Hypotenuse...Here's what I remember if it's worth anything: A squared + B squared = C squared (C being the hypotenuse I believe). Does this help at all? Maybe this is why I'm not your Math teacher... ;-)
